Tryweryn trip video 2017 May

Better than nothing…

Drought everywhere forced me to make long trip to Tryweryn in north Wales. Forecast for the weekend was “Kayaking with good chance of hammocking”.  Saturday a bit murky, but good workout, and Sunday full sun – amazing! As always, I recommend Thumbs UP! Bit problematic with hammock, as there are no suitable trees on site, however owners happily allow people hanging hammocks next to the river, very cool!

  1. I have to say, watching your video, is the first time I’ve had the urge to try this. I think it was the angle you shot the video in? It made me feel like I was actually in the boat. Pretty awesome.

I’m a flatwater kayaker, the calmer the water, the happier I am, but… maybe I will think about trying this one day ? I’ll need a new challenge soon! 😉 Thanks for sharing!

    1. Nothing really special in terms of shooting video. Standard gopro 4 session on top of the helmet, but thanks for the comment. White water stuff strongly recommended, surprisingly is not as easy as it looks sometimes ;-). Looks like you’re based in Canada, and you got better places to go really in your country than in UK. Check out some of pro kayakers videos from British Columbia… That is awesome, not my stuff really. Take care

      1. I definitely do not believe it is easy in any way, hence why I haven’t tried it and have not really been interested in it. thanks for the reply. Happy paddling!
