Winner of the first Giro d'Italia Luigi Ganna in 1909, on being asked how he felt at having won the race.

Front brake, wet tarmac want to kiss you
Such a nice helmet that was
still though cogito ergo sum
I was always wearing helmet because of possible “lawyer bollocks”, leading to reduce money my family will receive after my (possible) death. This time thou the piece of polystyrene foam possibly saved my life. I smacked head against tarmac going well over 30kph. Felt little dizzy and have a big bump growing on my right hip, but a little bit of wine and weissbier done miracle. Lesson learned.
Keep’em rolling
p.s. On the picture doesn’t look like major hit but is cracked inside completely, and outer shell keeps everything in one piece.
At least something which I’m happy about. Century ride with Wiggle on 31st May. 29.4km/h on 165km course, comparing to my other rides, this one went quite ok. Weather was spot on, no wind no sun 19C, no punctures, no mechanical adventures, absolutely perfect.
Keep’em rolling.
